Skills:
Teamwork- I love working in a team but I am also very good at working on my own. I was the head of my Art group project in 3rd year which we got an A in and my History group project in 5th year which we got a B in.
Communication- I am a people’s person and enjoy making conversation. I built this skill in 3rd year when I was the class captain and part of the student council. I talked to the students in my class about their suggestions then brought this to the council so their voices could be heard.
Work Experience:
I have volunteered in the Cork City Hall for Corks Multicultural Day from 2015-2017. There I worked at the entrance collecting prepaid tickets and also selling tickets. I had to work under time pressure and calculate money correctly as there was a long line. I aso had to talk to potential customers and give them reason why they should come to the event and the discounts available.
I also work with Cork Events setting up parties such as birthdays, weddings, engagements etc. I had to set up tables and work with table cloths. I had to fold them neatly and place them in then correct sector to avoid creasing and confusing with the other employees.
Interest:
I am very interested in the art of makeup and the combinations of colours. I love putting together original ideas and coming out with something colourful and beautiful. I have worked part-time, as an amateur, doing clients makeup for debs, graduation and parties. I am also very interested in History. I love learning more about the past and how it sculpted the world today. I love fashion. I am very interested in recent trends and also creating new trends to express personal style.
