I would like to apply for the “Head Cashier” role available, Carrolls Irish Gifts, Cork which i saw advertised on through facebook Jobs page.

I feel i have many skills/qualities that make me an excellent candidate for this position, customer services retail and sales has always been a passion of mine.

In my most recent role based at the Cork Arts Theatre, Cork for almost two years as box office supervisor i have gained more customer service skills. As part of my duties, i meet and greet customers in a friendly, professional way as well as help them with ticket purchases and other theatre products. Also as part of my role i look after cash and credit cards floats and reports, making sure all is operating efficiently and effectively and assisting staff members with information and training. I would always use my own initiative,  and carry out duties with necessary such as maintaining tidiness and cleanness of the premises.

I have a strong background in building customer relationships. I realise that customers are the most important part of building a business, and keeping customers satisfied can lead to sustaining loyal customers. My experience in the service industry has taught me how to both reach and exceed customer expectations and provide service that they can count on. I am a focused person, and I am always willing to go beyond the minimum expectations to make sure I serve customer needs. I approach new situations with enthusiasm and enjoy the challenge of learning something new in my work.I feel fully confident in dealing with the public and always prioritise in providing excellent customer service in assisting every customer or guest in a friendly and professional manner.

I have excellent computer and typing skills with experience in Microsoft Office system, E-mail and Internet.
