Chemical Bulk Storage, Cork
Operator required for Cork based chemical storage facility.
Position – Full time permanent
Remuneration: in line with experience
Start Date: January 2021
Reporting to: Terminal Manager
Working Hours : 0800 – 1700 Monday to Friday (some overtime (incl weekends) required to cover product receipt by ship.)
The operator must be capable of working as part of a team in a HSSE regulated environment. They are required to proactively contribute to the delivery of quality, safety and environmental requirements and on schedule.
Receipt of product by ship and road tanker
Loading (top and bottom) of road tankers using Batch Control System
Must be able to work at heights (up to 16 mteres).
Familiar with Windows Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word etc.)
Ensure all delivery paperwork is properly completed
Monitoring of plant and equipment
Loading and offloading of raw material
Ensure that the workplace and ancillary facilities are maintained in a clean and tidy state at all times
Ensure equipment maintenance duties are completed as assigned, including the physical cleaning of tank farm equipment and facilities
Carry out minor repairs/adjustments to plant and ancillary equipment where possible and as authorised.
General site maintenance (includes outdoor work)
Adhere at all times and in full to all Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and regulations.
Understanding / experience of working in an ATEX environment
A good standard of education is required
Experience handling and working with hazardous chemicals/fuels is an advantage
Diligent approach to Health and Safety required.
The ability to work as part of a team and individually.
