We have big growth ambitions and you will help make that a reality. Our Sales Manager Ireland role will focus on creating and implementing sales strategies for a high-value Industrial and Commercial (I&C) customer base in Ireland for distributed energy. This includes renewable technologies like solar and CHP with projects values ranging from €5m to €20m. You’ll actively seek out customers leveraging our existing relationships through Bord Gais and our portfolio of delivered projects.
You will be expected to spend time on customer sites and across Centrica’s UK&I offices, with occasional international travel. This role can be based remotely with travel to our Cork and Dublin offices and project sites.
The Role
In your new role you will sell innovative capital and financed energy solutions to the I&C market in Ireland, including equipment only and full turnkey EPC. You’ll upsell optimisation services from these assets such as Demand Side Response and trading.
To achieve this you will develop a sector plan and targeting opportunities which you will report on regularly. You’ll also need to collaborate with our legal, engineering and commercial teams in Ireland and the UK.
Developing relationships at the ‘C’ level, understanding customer drivers, engaging with relevant stakeholders and establishing the required credibility to influence procurement and financial decisions is critical.
You’ll also be the primary interface with the customer and provide solid support to internal teams to drive clear and tangible progress from concept design through to Project Development Agreement/Heads of Terms, Solution Development and Contract Close, ensuring at each stage deals are optimally structured to meet both customer and Centrica requirements.
The Person
You’ll have a track record in selling M&E construction services or engineering related solutions and products to large industrial or commercial clients such data centres, leisure sector, industrial and the public sector.
A succinct and confident communicator with credibility, you will have experience of analysing and integrating potential solutions to solve customers’ needs.
Strong commercial awareness is key with knowledge of modelling sales gross/net margins and project financing offerings. You will also have solid IT skills and a consultative approach to sales.
