Sales Assistant, Gourmet Pantry, Kinsale, Cork, €11.30 ph

The Gourmet Pantry opened its doors for business in December 2016. We offer a full suite of artisan products through our deli, corporate/event catering and through our click and collect service.

We require both part-time and full-time sales assistants to join our great team to in Kinsale.

This role will be supporting daily food operations, front of house service and general duties. Previous experience with a catering environment is desirable but not required as full on the job training will be provided.

Candidate requirements:

• Service of food and/or beverages to customers to the standards set by the company.
• Ensure all food hygiene regulations are adhered to, in particular H.A.C.C.P regulations
• Cleaning duties associated with service and related equipment and/or furniture.
• Preparation of service area and/or service points.
• Clean and replenish service equipment.
• Accurate storage of food items and equipment after service.
• Food assembly and service of same in an efficient manner
• Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures
• Handling cash transactions and ensuring the accurate cash handling procedures are followed in accordance with company procedure and till procedures.
• Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company’s policies and procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills & courteous manner
• Ability to work with minimal direction and as part of a team.
• Good timekeeping and ability to work in fast paced environment

We are looking for a candidate who is looking for a new challenge as we continue to expand. Previous experience with a catering environment is desirable but not required as full on the job training will be provided.
