Ramp Agent/Baggage Handler – Aer Lingus Cork Airport, Temple Recruitment, Cork, €15.80 ph

Fixed Term Parttime contract – 20 hours per week

Applications are currently being invited for a number of Fixed Term Team Member A positions in Ramp/Baggage Hall operational departments at Cork Airport. The work is physically demanding and involves working as part of a team, whilst adhering to strict health & Safety protocols and security standards. The roles are shift positions and the roster will be over a 7-day period including weekends and bank holidays. You must be available to work any four hours over a five day period if required. These are uniformed positions and require the wearing of personal protective clothing.

Your role

• Assisting with loading and unloading of our various aircraft types
• Assisting with Aircraft Cleaning and maintaining our high standards of cleanliness
• Assisting with Baggage offload and build up in our Baggage Hall areas
• Driving ground service equipment as required for the daily operation
• Meet agreed customer service standards especially punctuality
• Report Incidents or accidents to immediate Supervisor and assist with completion of paperwork

Your qualifications & key criteria

• Be at least 18 years of age at the closing date of this notice
• Pass a 5-year security background check and Garda Vetting process
• A full clean driving licence and be eligible to live and work in the EU
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written- good communication skills – both spoken and written
• Willing to work a range of shift duties in a 24 hour, 7 day a week operation
• Flexible, committed, self motivated and enthusiastic
• Be physically fit and able to pass a medical assessment
• Excellent Punctuality and attendance record
• Strong communications skills both verbal and written
• Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team
• Confident with ability to work on own initiative and work effectively under pressure to achieve punctuality
• Proven understanding of our customers’ needs and commitment to the provision of high quality customer
