We are the concentrate team in PepsiCo (PGCS) working across the Beverage, Nutrition and Snacks categories to deliver concentrate for many of PepsiCo’s mega brands including Gatorade, 7Up and Pepsi. We are at the heart of PepsiCo products, sourcing ingredients to manufacture more than 1,200 recipes for our brands. This is a key role that supports the delivery of the PGCS Productivity agenda by strengthening and delivering Process Improvements and Productivity initiatives across PGCS using Lean Six Sigma methodology, supporting or driving the implementation of key strategic programs to the field, ensuring the delivery of the project benefits commitments, leading the Productivity agenda through the existing productivity systems and developing new ones, facilitating and driving Kaizen and Workshop events across plants and functions, and delivering his/her own Black Belt project every year.
Lead Lean Six Sigma Program for PGCS
Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Governance
Manage the Lean Six Sigma program for PGCS
- Manage Lean Six Sigma Training for PGCS. Coordinate training plans, schedule, logistics. Work with PepsiCo global LSS team to share resources.
Leading the coordination and teaching at PGCS LSS training sessions to attendees from all PGCS sites. Delivering training across all geographies through face to face of virtual sessions
- Govern the process in partnership with key stakeholders from Plants and Functions to assign the productivity and process improvement projects to the LSS belts, to deliver the projects following the DMAIC approach, and to measure performance
- Mentor up to 15 LSS Belts and their Sponsors per year from a diverse cross section of the business; Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, R&D, etc. throughout the Globe
- Partner with PepsiCo and Sectors, ensuring the PGCS LSS agenda is aligned with PepsiCo’s
- Deliver your own Black Belt project every year
Drive the delivery of LSS projects contributing to the PGCS P&L Productivity of $ 4 – 7MM every year, partnering with several key stakeholders through the process of ideation, feasibility, chartering, and execution, ensuring adherence to the DMAIC methodology, and metrics that drive a robust process and governance.
Support the delivery or unlock of the benefits driven by the Digital Programs to the field, working with key stakeholders to help translate them into tangible and intangible benefits using Kaizen and LSS methodology.
Help drive the Productivity agenda Globally by driving a significant impact in capex avoidance for PGCS and bottlers, as well as bottler efficiencies through the removal of waste from the process, optimizing production output and supporting investment for growth to deliver a reduction in the cost base.
Subject matter expert for the areas of Operations and Capacity, providing technical support and inputs for programs and initiatives like True Efficiency, Asset Optimization, and others.
Lead the TE program in the area of LSS, utilising lean tools to plan, execute & deliver significant TE improvements year on year. Delivering the annual target across all measured fillers annually and helping to drive Capex avoidance and improve plant capacity.
Drive Mistake proofing, DMAIC, Root cause analysis culture throughout the plants through training and all aspects of engagement.
Manage the existing Productivity systems (Power steering, Miro, Power Apps, Power Automation, Power BI, etc) and develop or incorporate new programs (LSS, Simplification) into systems to simplify and improve processes
Lead LSS facilitation at Kaizen events, brainstorming sessions, workshops for PGCS and with other global PepsiCo teams (packaging team, R&D team, various sectors, individual bottling plants, etc).
Provide Business analysis support and knowledge to Management and project teams; assembling the building blocks for the PGCS Network Capacity Model and other operational needs.
Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt with consistent experience leading, coaching and delivering LSS projects
Proven leadership and influencing skills, process and business understanding in core functions of PGCS manufacturing & supply chain business highly desirable
Proven Program/Project Management skills
Supply Chain experience required; knowing the business cold credibility; multi- function knowledge highly desirable
Experience in Capex process, engineering projects, and vendor management.
BS/BA degree or equivalent, engineering or business degree are preferable (e.g. industrial, mechanical, CS)
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple/detail-oriented tasks
Proven track record successfully leading people and process change management, operating in a similar role, within a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated experience training others and building capability
Ability to influence and gain commitment at all levels of the organization
Effective presentation and communication skills (verbal and written)
High attention to detail, self-starter/highly motivated
Additional desired qualifications and/or experience
Experience or training in manufacturing or project management systems like Power steering, Accolade, Power BI, Power App, SAP, etc.
