Job Description
The Food Chemistry Laboratory is an INAB accredited analytical testing facility. The role of Office Administrator is to ensure stock and store controls are handled in an efficient and cost effective manner.Job Responsibilities

  • Ordering and management of stock and consumables using the group Coupa system.
  • Manage all stock movement and follow through any discrepancies that arise.
  • Ensuring there is sufficient stock of all consumables and ensuring that there is no short fall by tightly monitoring consumable inventory.
  • Receipt stock in accordance with Eurofins policies and procedures.
  • Report to Manager on a regular basis any issues relating to stock movement.
  • Responsible for ensuring purchasing documentation is completed accurately, in a timely manner, organized, and filed correctly in accordance with company procedures.
  • This person must ensure the stores are properly organized including labelling, stacking, correct separation of goods, tidiness, etc. so items can be identified quickly and easily.
  • This person is responsible for participating in the training necessary to familiarize himself / herself with purchasing management, stock control systems, logistics, software, etc.
  • Continuous improvement – identification of opportunities for improvement of quality and service and implementation of action plans for continuous improvement designed in collaboration with management.
  • Responsible for accurate allocation of costs to the correct departments.
  • Ensuring that all chemicals/raw materials are logged into the system and quality certificates have been received and filed for each batch.
  • Liaising with suppliers to understand supply issues and work to secure alternate sourse.
  • To be accountable for customer satisfaction, notably through customer service and the ability to understand the customers’ requirements. Be constantly aware of the customers’ requirements and strive to meet these at all times.
  • Adhere to all company standards in the area of safety, housekeeping and quality, notifying line manager of any discrepancies.
  • Be flexible to work in any area of the business as is required.

 

Qualifications

  • Good keyboard skills, MS Office packages in particular Excel.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential. Training will be provided.
