About the role:
The role of the Health Care Assistant is to work part of a team to support nursing staff in the delivery of care to the Resident under supervision of the Clinical Nurse Manager and Registered Nurses. The primary role is to provide direct and indirect day to day care to Residents.
We currently seeking Healthcare Assistants to join our Riverstick Care Centre, Co Cork P43 Y006 or Ballincurrig Care Centre Leamlara, Ballincurrig T56 TC04 on a full time permanent basis.
Assisting health care staff in providing safe, compassionate and professional care to residents.
Carrying out) requirements of individualized care plans.
Getting to know residents interests and needs, providing attention, support and companionship.
Creating a nurturing and supportive environment for the resident.
Facilitate and implement a person centered service appropriate to the needs, wishes and requirements of the resident.
Provide personal assistance in all aspects of personal care while always maintaining their dignity.
Manual handling, ensuring comfort and hygiene of service users and adhering to safe practice at all times.
Providing companionship and social engagement.
Requirements:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Full- time positions will require you to work seven 12-hour shifts per fortnight
Desirable requirements:
FETAC Level 5 modules Care of the Elderly.
Patient Moving and Manual Handling training.
Experience: Healthcare: 1 year (preferred)
