We are currently recruiting for an Electrician to join our Projects Team. This full time, permanent role will be predominantly based in the Munster region, with a particular emphasis on the Cork area.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Make up and install cable containment in line with layout drawings and dimensions
- Install and terminate cables and equipment in the correct manner and in line with site standards
- Guarantee that the works comply with site quality standards and guidelines
- Ensure that tasks are completed on time and meet our exceptional quality standards
- Comply with all safety limitations and procedures
- Take responsibility for health and safety on site and lead by example. Ensure that the correct PPE is worn at all times on site
- Keep the workplace in a tidy manner and free of excess materials
- Plan and execute works in the most productive manner
- Dispose of waste in the correct receptacles
- Comply with site instructions regarding the formulation and implementation of RAMS – SPA’s etc.
- Testing, maintenance and repair/replacement
- Analyse and quickly resolve any work problems that may arise and ensure that all deficiencies on any given project are corrected in a timely manner
- Assist with the training of apprentices
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned by site management
- Support the Project Manager in promoting a culture of excellent customer service and establish exceptional working relationships with your colleagues and the client/s
- Act as a brand ambassador and lead the Company through its ongoing expansion
- Any other duties as deemed necessary for the efficiency of the business
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate (or equivalent) – Craft: Electrician
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fast paced commercial environment
- Highly skilled in both electrical and instrumentation disciplines
- Understanding of construction documentation an advantage
- Problem-solving – to take controlled / real time approach to problems and solving them
- Conscientious with a high attention to detail and an ability to multitask
- Motivated self-starter, who can work both independently or as part of a team
- Capable of prioritising tasks whilst possessing the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, with fluent English

Salary: €24.81-€25.72 per hour
